Happy 'Wee' Harry (Summer
2004)
[Press release]
There was no stopping little Harry
Stratton once he got his hands on this Team Hybrid
'Viper' power cycle at the Edinburgh leg of the 2004
Mobility Roadshow.
Indeed his Dad could only just keep
pace. Harry’s test drive demonstrated that this
was definitely the transport for him and he now has
his own ‘Tetra Viper’ power cycle.
At four and a half, Harry’s fingers
were too small to operate the breaks so Team Hybrid
has fitted bespoke handle bars that allow brake action
using his arm.
“I love my power cycle because
I can go up the hill at my house to play with my friends,”
said Harry who has Spina Bifida.
“I have also been across the grassy
bits in Drumpellier Park, which is near my house,
for the first time all by myself and I was chasing
a dog and everyone laughed.”
Harry’s Mum, Anna is also delighted
with Harry’s new transport. “The Roadshow
was an excellent opportunity to assess all the options.
Now we have a very happy wee Harry.”
